Bro. Chuck Philips has been at Woodlake Baptist for over 30 years, leading us during our Praise and Worship. Chuck believes in a blended service that includes our faith hymns, praise and worship songs, and choruses. Chuck has moved us forward musically and with the use of technology in our worship services. He has included an instrumental ensemble in our services and, of course, leads our Praise Choir. Most of all, Chuck loves singing praises to God and leads us in worship with passion and enthusiasm.

Chuck has been involved in Music Ministry for over 60 years. He began leading music in revivals in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma when he was 17. He has gone on to serve as bi-vocational Minister of Music at several churches, even an English speaking church in Japan while stationed there in the military. He has seen many changes in church music over the years.

Chuck also leads our Senior Adult Ministry. He feels that getting older doesn’t mean you’re finished and encourages “seasoned” adults to stay active in life and ministry.
